- Chopping Board
- Sharp Knife

- Small Bowls (for spices)
Prepare
- Chop 2 pieces Large Onion into 5mm chunks
- Chop 2 pieces Bell Pepper
- Chop 4 cloves Garlic Cloves
Spice Mix 1
- 2 tsp Ground Cumin
- 8 tsp Mild Chilli Powder
- 2 tsp Paprika
Spice Mix 2
- 1 tsp Marjoram
- 2 tsp Sugar
- 4 tbsp Tomato Puree
Cook the Chilli
- Add 2 tbsp Olive Oil to pan
- Fry onions on medium heat for (stir regularly)
- Add chopped peppers and garlic
- Add Spice Mix 1 (cumin, chilli powder, paprika)
- Continue frying for (stir regularly)
- Add 1000g Minced Beef, cook on higher heat until browned (at least )
- Boil 600ml Water and dissolve 2 cubes Beef Stock Cube
- Add stock to pan
- Add 800g Chopped Tomatoes (tin)
- Add Spice Mix 2 (marjoram, sugar, tomato puree)
- Season with salt and pepper
- Bring to boil, cover and simmer for
- Stir regularly to stop sauce from sticking. Add more water if needed
- Drain and rinse 820g Kidney Beans (tin, drained), add to pan
- Simmer uncovered for
- Season with salt and pepper to taste
- Leave to stand for before serving
Cook the Rice
- Rinse 300g Basmati Rice until water runs clear
- Add rice and 600ml Water to saucepan
- Bring to boil, then reduce heat to lowest setting
- Cover and cook for 12 minutes
- Remove from heat, keep covered for 5 minutes
- Fluff with fork before serving
